@tolonen: It depends which campus. All the Helsinki ones that I know of are Sodexho, but IIRC Oulu has Avecra in one campus, and Sodexho in another. The Sodexho is the worst I've ever had anywhere (including on VR), but apparently Avecra is appreciably better.
@tepheikk one of my squadmates had friends in Oulu so were able to arrange some 'omat eväät' to the platform. All the other reservists hated us for that, of course :-)
@fooishbar: something like: When you're on the road, even inferior food is edible. I'm fairly sure the slogan was invented after Avecra decided not to advertise in the magazine...

Is it Avecra or Sodexho that handles the VR restaurants? Outsourcing to the Anti-Christ of nourishment.. in either case.

People often forget you actually have to deliver on your brand promise if you want to get any long-term benefits out of it...

There's one thing that have not ran out yet at VR train restaurant. It's Lapinkulta beer.
If they would change it to some other beer, I think that beer shortage would also become reality.

@tepheikk years ago when we returned from a military exercise in Rovajärvi beer ran out already somewhere near Oulu

@tolonen As a campus restaurans sodexho is the worst one. Fazer-Amica has so far managed to keep feasible average restaurant quality.
I've never ran Sodexho on train. I thought that Avecra has a "monopoly" there.
